Worship With Us

Sunday Mornings at 10:30am

Our worship service begins at 10:30am with bell ringing and a gathering song. Together we move through music, liturgy, and prayer during this hour-long service as we deepen our connections both with one another and with the Power and Love we call God.

Our Sunday service is streamed live on Zoom and Facebook too!

What to Expect

First Congo is a vibrant, diverse, and intergenerational spiritual community. On Sunday mornings, you can join us for Coffee Hour at 9:30am in the common area, just upstairs from the sanctuary. Meet new people and get church information.

Our worship service starts at 10:30am and lasts about an hour. We have around 150 attendees each week, including about 20 children. Most of us dress casually. Our music varies from Gospel to classical to folk to global. We typically use piano and drums, but sometimes add guitar, violin, flute, or cello. You’ll find different liturgical art hanging from season to season. You’ll hear gender-inclusive language used to name God. All are welcome!

Childcare

Childcare is available for ages 0-11 from 9:15am to noon in the Larkin Room behind the sanctuary.

Children ages 5-11 typically start with their caregivers at 10:30am in worship. During the hymn “We Are Marching,” the kids are invited to march back to the Larkin Room, where Children’s Church will begin with Marsha Walton.

Choir

At First Congo, we believe in the power of music to bring people together and enhance our worship. Whether you are a seasoned musician or simply have a love for music and a desire to participate, there is a place for you in our music ministry. We have created a welcoming and inclusive environment where no audition is required, allowing everyone to freely express their musical talents and contribute to our vibrant community. Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am to sing in the choir!
