We gather for worship at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. A typical service lasts just over an hour. If you come early, you'll find us gathered for coffee in the Commons area - just up the stairs from the sanctuary, where the church offices are located. You'll have a chance to meet people and pick up information about the church there, too.
About 225 of us will be present on a typical Sunday. About 25 of us will be children. About half of us will be under 45 years of age. A very few of us will be dressed up, but most of us will be dressed very casually. The music will range from Gospel to classical to folk to global. We’ll use piano, drums, guitar, violin, flute, cello . . . It varies according to the day!
Childcare is available for children under 5 from 9:30 a.m. until noon. There’s a children’s time early in the worship service and following that, children can leave the sanctuary for supervised activities during the remainder of the worship service.
From 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights, we gather for prayer in the sanctuary using simple chant songs from the community of Taize, France or simple sung responses along with silence, candlelight and short scripture readings.
We have a Labyrinth in the sanctuary. Some folks like to come to the worship space early to walk the labyrinth prior to the worship service. You can also make an appointment for yourself or for a group to use the labyrinth by emailing Julia Hicks (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can also find a labyrinth in our parking lot and we invite folks to walk that labyrinth any time.
